Priory Medical Journals are available free and were the first medical journals on the Internet
in 1994. They are the result of a radical vision by the Editor-in-Chief, Dr Ben
Green - to produce a suite of low cost / high exposure medical journals
available at no charge to everybody. Part of this vision was a belief that
medical knowledge should not be parcelled up and sold to the highest bidder or
available only to an academic elite.

Against large publishing houses with large advertising accounts Priory Medical Journals with an
advertising budget of nil has survived and prospered for nearly ten years.

Who reads the journals?

80% of the readership IS biomedical (doctors, vets, dentists), a high earning professional group but we enjoy a sizeable readership of social workers, patients and carers as well. This is ideal for internet advertising purposes to doctors and other high earning professionals (ABC).
