Dr Ben Green is Editor of Psychiatry On-Line. He is a Consultant Psychiatrist to Cheadle Royal Hospital, Cheshire, UK, and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Psychiatry at the University of Liverpool who has published in European academic journals, and written or edited some six medical books on psychiatry, general medicine, and general practice. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
He is registered in the UK as an expert witness.
He is interested in post traumatic stress disorder, psychiatric education, depression, schizophrenia, developmental psychiatry and psychotherapy. His published papers include work on ethics, psychopharmacology, abnormal involuntary movements, maternal depression and risk factors for depression.
His books include Problem-Based Psychiatry(1996), Psychiatry in General Practice (1995), The MRCPsych Study Manual (First edition, 1994, second edition 2000 - a third edition is planned) and MCQs for Finals(1989). He has just published the revised edition of Focus on Antipsychotics in 2004.
