Scientific Programme
The conference will bring together developmentalists from all over the world and will focus on the most relevant topics and issues within recent advances of Developmental Psychology, such as: social-cognitive development; emotional development; language and communication development; perceptual and motor development; theory of mind;neo and post Piagetian theories; prenatal development; identity and self development; attachment; parental separation and children development; parenting; family and peer relationship; risk and vulnerability factors; developmental psychopathology; educational psychology; evolutionary perspectives; historical and cultural psychology.
Scientific Activities will include Invited Addresses; Invited Symposia; Symposia; Poster Workshops; Individual Papers, Individual Posters.
Guidelines For The Submission Of Abstracts
Symposia
Symposia are organized by two co-convenors and consist of 4-5 papers plus a shorter discussant paper. Ali symposia are allocated two hours time. Each presentation can last no longer than 15-20 minutes, depending on the number of papers. One of the co-convenors may be the discussant, the other one functioning as the chairperson. The chair may present one of the papers. At the end of the symposìum, time should be allowed for the discussant to introduce a general discussion.
Co-convenors must be from two different countries. Participants should represent at least two different countries. One of the co-convenors should: (a) forward to symposium participants registration and abstract submission forms; (b) collect the individual abstracts, which should not exceed 200 words each; (e) send to the Scientific Committee the title and the abstract of the symposium, and (d) provide names and addresses of symposium participants as well as titles and abstracts of the symposium papers.
Poster workshops
Poster workshops are organized by two co-convenors and consist of 10-12 thematically related posters. Following a one hour dísplay period, a one hour discussion will take place. The discussion will be coordinated by one of the two co-convenors serving as a discussant.

One of the co-convenors should: (a) forward to poster workshop participants registration and abstract submission forms; (b) collect the individual abstracts, which should not exceed 200 words each; (e) send to the Scientific Committee the title and the abstract of the poster workshop, and (d) provide names and addresses of poster workshop participants as well as titles and abstracts of the poster workshop presentations.
Individual papers
Individual papers will be grouped into thematic sessions, lasting two hours. Depending on the number of papers, each participant will have 15-20 minutes to present his/her paper, including discussion.
Individual posters
Individual posters will be grouped thematically and displayed for two hours. A surface of 100 cm x 140 cm will be available for each poster. Posters should be readable from a distance of two meters.
