• GROW - Queensland GROW began in Sydney, Australia in 1957 as a small group who followed the AA 12 step programme. Later it changed its name to Recovery, but since a similar organisation exists in USA it changed its name again to GROW.

  It is similar to Recovery in that groups of 3 to 15 people meet as a mutual self supporting group with readings from books compiled by C B Keogh D.D. Ph.D. and by members themselves. Meetings last 2 hours and are non secular (though there are a few Christian groups) and depend on voluntary donations and some government support.
